She has traveled abroad to sunny New Zealand, spending time driving tractors for an agricultural contractor before returning home to Ireland. Outside of work, she enjoys helping out on the farm at home and walking her dog, Millie.
Aileen Daly
Receptionist & Animal Care Assistant
Aileen previously worked at Millstreet Veterinary Group and is now our receptionist at Island Wood Veterinary Hospital on Saturdays. She enjoys assisting clients and is interested in both large and small animals.
When not at work, horse racing, yoga, reading, and walking her dogs take up most of her spare time.

When Marie is not at work, she is busy looking after her two children, husband, and their family pets at their home near Rathmore, Co. Kerry where she always flies the Rebel colors.

Yvonne has 2 dogs and loves walking, traveling, gardening, and socializing. Yvonne is a keen golfer and was the Lady Captain of Kanturk Golf Club in 2022.

She has always loved animals and growing up was never without her dogs. She loves walking and playing with her dogs Nell, Poppy and Bruno at home. Siobhan also loves music. She is currently a member of the Duhallow Choral Society and plays the guitar whenever the chance arises!

When she is not at work, Ciara enjoys spending time at home with her 2 dogs, 6 cats and 3 goldfish. In her spare time, she likes to walk and bake.
Maeve Daly
Registered Veterinary Nurse
Since then, she has gained extensive experience in referral practice, including several years and Fitzpatrick Referrals Orthopaedics and Neurosurgery in the UK, where she worked first as a general nurse and later as a Clinical Nurse Coordinator.
Maeve started with Millstreet Veterinary Group in 2024. She enjoys the variety and challenge of mixed practice, combining her passion for high-quality patient care with a strong interest in all aspects of veterinary nursing.
She lives with her husband and kids in Macroom, along with her much loved, adopted tuxedo cat Dora.
Margaret Hanley

Outside of work, her hobbies include kickboxing, spending time with friends, and baking.

Allison says ‘ I have always wanted to work with animals and changing career was the best move have ever made and I’m very happy to be a member of the MVG team’.
Outside of work, she is the proud owner of a 3 legged rescue cat named Willow and a beautiful Newfie rescue dog named Jess.
Kaylyn Dunleavy
Registered Veterinary Nurse
She also has a certificate for oral health care for pets from BSAVA and a certificate on pet bereavement from Blue Cross. She has a keen interest in animal welfare and physiotherapy and would be interested in specializing in this in the future.
Outside of work, Kaylyn loves spending time with her pet dogs and looking after her fluffy alpacas.
Dr. Caroline Keohane
Veterinary Surgeon
Caroline particularly loves small animal practice. She savours the chance to work through challenging medical cases. Caroline enjoys meeting owners day to day, listening to their concerns and discussing options tailored to each individual pet and family. Going forward Caroline is enthusiastic to further develop her diagnostic imaging skills.
Having grown up on a dairy farm in West Cork, Caroline also loves large animals. She has great respect for farmers, just like her Dad, that work so hard “come hail, rain or shine”. She happily helps out in the milking parlour or contending with the endless list of jobs on the farm!
In her free time, Caroline likes running, heading out for a nice lunch and most of all spending precious time with the family pets; Bailey a cheeky Labrador and Polly, a dachshund-cross. Polly is a rescue dog from Caroline’s time in Budapest and she has the sweetest, kindest nature ever!
Dr. Elaine Browne
Veterinary Surgeon
She is a mixed animal vet, working with both small and large animals. She has a particular interest in calf health, bovine reproduction and small animal surgery.
Outside of work, her hobbies include farming at home, hiking, rock climbing and spending time with her two collies Rocky and Max.
Dr. Hannah O’Rourke
Veterinary Surgeon
She graduated from University College Dublin in 2025 and joined Millstreet Veterinary Group in September 2025.
Dr. Owen Browne
Veterinary Surgeon
Owen joined Millstreet Veterinary Group in 2023. Owen works with both small and farm animals, and has a particular interest in small animal surgery. He is currently studying for a postgraduate certificate in small animal surgery.
Outside of work, Owen enjoys spending time with his dog, Zeke. He also enjoys kayaking when the weather allows and go-karting.
Dr. Liam Chawke
Veterinary Surgeon
Liam is originally from Kilmallock, Co. Limerick. He graduated from University College Dublin and went on to join Millstreet Veterinary Group in 2021. Liam has achieved a Graduate Certificate in both Dairy Herd Health and Veterinary Public Health.
His particular areas of interest are disease epidemiology and food law. Outside of work, his hobbies include farming at home, going to the gym, and playing Gaelic football with St. John’s in Millstreet. He is also an avid supporter of Limerick Hurling.
Dr. Marcel Hanley
Veterinary Surgeon
She is particularly interested in small animal surgery. She lives on a small farm outside Clondrohid with her husband and son. They keep some cattle and one cat.
Dr. Donal O’Mahony
Veterinary Surgeon
Donal is originally from Co. Cork, and graduated as a vet from University College Dublin in 2022. He joined the Millstreet Vet group team in September 2022. His main interests within veterinary are large animal medicine and surgery, with a particular interest in bovine reproduction and fertility work. He also enjoys small animal medicine and enjoys doing his best for his patients and their owners. He says ‘I really enjoy being a mixed animal vet and the variety that comes with it. No two days are the same and there’s always an opportunity to learn something new every day.’
Outside of work, Donal loves being outdoors – ‘ It’s one of the perks of the job, so in my spare time I love walking and taking my dog “Bella” out as much as I can. I love traveling and seeing different parts of the world. I visited South East Asia a few years ago and would definitely love to go back there again. I love most sports, especially GAA and rugby. I’m a keen Cork hurling and football supporter, along with Munster and Ireland rugby teams. I love going to matches, be it to support the Cork hurlers down in The Pairc or the Irish rugby team playing away in Paris!’

Jane is an active member of Veterinary Ireland, the representative body for vets in Ireland, and served as President of the organisation in 2025.
Outside of work, Jane enjoys playing golf.
Dr. Mairead Wallace Pigott
Managing Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Mairead qualified from U.C.D. and worked in mixed practice for several years before moving to Millstreet to set up practice with her husband Michael.
Mairead is the managing partner of Millstreet Veterinary Group and looks after the day-to-day running and organization of the practice, whilst still being an active member of the small and large animal veterinary team.
Mairead is an active contributor to veterinary politics, being a past president and current treasurer of Veterinary Ireland, the representative body for vets in Ireland.
Outside of work she enjoys walking with her two rescue hounds Margot and Suki and plays the odd bit of golf.
Dr. Michael Pigott
Partner and Veterinary Surgeon
Having grown up on a dairy farm, Michael’s main interest has always been cattle medicine. He holds the postgraduate certificate in Dairy Herd Health at University College Dublin and won the ‘Dairy Vet of the Year’ award at the National Dairy Awards 2023. Michael also has an interest in small animal imaging.
Outside of work, Michael enjoys running, hillwalking, and kayaking.
